Wow just finished Pretty Star. I feel like Anis' entire story is filled with so many plot contrivances. There are so many coincidences involving her story that it's hard to overlook. Anis' suicide is avoid because exactly right before she jumps she hears Pretty's music. Anis is forced to volunteer a dancing number at her school. Anis just so happens to meet Pretty at the park with Hanson watching from the distance. This coincidence motivates pretty to work hard again, possibly planning her suicide. Anis just so happens to get the impossible to get tickets for the concert. Anis just so happens to sit right behind Pretty's assassins. Anis notices these assassins and tries to stop them and gets killed. Hanson remembers this girl and takes her in. Freesia seems forced too, sort of. Just the fact that she is the next lilyweiss. You can argue it's supposed to be a with her connection with her encounter with red hood. But too me it this just feels like the start of characters we've know in the past just will become super duper important for basically no reason at all. I could be wrong but I feel like freesia wasn't originally planned to be Pretty, she was just supposed to be a girl Red Hood met that motivated her. Freesia just got popular in the community wonder of who she would be. I feel like if it was pretty they would have foreshadowed some attributes related to idols or lilyweiss in RA.
