If you are going to read it, I'd recommend reading nukitashi(since henpri is basically a sequel to nukitashi and it ties in a lot to the story in the grand route) and watching shawshank redemption(vn is basically heavily inspired by it with some scenes being straight 1 to 1 copies) first. It will enhance the ending and references/jokes significantly.
