I'm thinking Callisto probably branched off from Fauvism to found Corporism (unless both schools are offshoots of an even older art movement), considering their very similar views on the flesh-as-machine along with using the same techniques to preserve and shape recently deceased corpses. The Fauvists seem to have gone completely wild with the endless possibilities inherent in the countless horrors in- and around the City, while Callisto instead sought the polished, focused vision of his own human body transformed into a living tool. Conversely, the Pointillists perform their art in completely different ways using techniques in no way similar to either of the two other schools, so we know that the Ring's movements are as diverse as real life artists in expression and expertise. I've had a theory for a while that many recent movements of the Ring were inspired by the Blue Reverberation, and I can't help but notice the aesthetic parallels between the Fauvists and the 8 O'clock Circus, or between the Corporists and the Puppeteer.
