I recently finished Trails to Azure and came to this thread to share my thoughts, and it's surprising to see people glazing it so much. It really felt like a step down from Sky in pretty much every aspect.Lloyd is one of the blandest protagonists I have ever seen, especially after Estelle, Joshua and Kevin raised my expectations tremendously. But, aside from being cute, we're never given a proper reason as to why they like him in the first place.The whole SSS just didn't feel as naturally developed as Sky's cast of characters who actually underwent drama and character growth at times.The worldbuilding from Sky completely went up in flames once we entered Crossbell with its modern cityscape, amusement parks, skyscrapers and high tech appliances all over the place. Remember how big of a deal that escalator in Zeiss was?
