Skyrim modding is so overrated. People say Skyrim is the most moddable game, when most of the mods are just translations and other rubbish you’d never install. In reality, there are very few mods that significantly change the game or add new quests, areas and dungeons, and those that do exist are questionable in quality. God this guy is impossible to kill. At level 26 he has a seemingly infinite reserve of stamina and backs off to heal back to near full with wild healing if you get him low, in addition to having skills minmaxed for tankiness and 300 armor. Skyrim is so not heroic, especially for a game about saving the world from the Dragon God. Most quests literally involve you killing innocents, stealing, and other evil things. Even main quest doesn’t involve anything heroic.

Using Experience to cripple XP gain has made me enjoy the game much more. This is a table and graph for XP earned from killing a playable race NPC e.g a bandit of various levels. You can adjust the level factor, 0.8 in this image, to different values to make it so that higher level kills yield less XP and lower level kills yield more, or make it so that lower level kills are worthless but higher level kills reward absurd amounts.
