It's crazy that Destiny 2's future hinges entirely on whether or not Marathon flops. And I dont think I've ever seen such a toxic feud between two player-bases that stem from the same creator because of that.If Marathon flops which is undeniable at this point, then Bungie are likely going to have to return to Destiny 2. If Destiny 2 doesn't have another resurgence like it did with Shadow Keep, Beyond Light, and Witch Queen, then I genuinely believe It's going to be EoS and studio closure. There's a small possibility that Sony will foot the server bill for Destiny (2014), Destiny 2, and Marathon but I dont think that would be feasible unless they were compelled to do so (Whales buying cosmetics). There's legitimately nothing in the pipeline for Bungie either, Destiny 3? It's not even in active game development and anything they did have was repurposed for Destiny 2 over 5 years ago and that was probably during a time when they were still committed to D2 being the platform for legacy content and latest content releases. They should honestly just rollback the Tier system at this point. I dont hate the idea of portal/ there being a central UI hub for older legacy content like Exotic missions or old seasonal activities (You should be able to get the weapon drops from those seasons in their activities, but Solo Ops and Fireteam Ops need to be removed. The Legend tab should be for Legacy content, but they should at least put some sort of summary next to the launch button for each and every single one-off dungeon/raid/exotic mission that was tied to removed content or the previous game.It's really not that hard to salvage DestinyThey could even do a proper sunsetting akin to RoI but they would have to completely overhaul the loot and make uncommons and rares viable again.

I only started playing recently and jesus what in the actual fuck.It took me until the Europe map to figure out these little symbols on the map were pointing out hidden areas or patrols. The markers on the map don't even correspond to the actual position of the patrol beacon.Then it sends me back to the Cosmodrome because... I don't know why.Then to I had this quest for void kills and I had to figure out I need to talk to Ikora for a quest to unlock void and to do this mission I had to click around on a million things to see where I could launch it from because the "timeline" isn't actually a linear timeline.The mission is this flashback to see the death of a character I had no investment in who is killed by some other guy I had never seen before? Then it immediately tells me I killed this other guy and he got reborn as some other dude and we forgive him? Why? Who makes these decisions
