They really goofed up making martial arts so resource heavy and gated, they could have easily put in a chew toy for the hardcore grinders by letting people grind out the resources to raise and upkeep as many as they wanted at the same time. Healer is dishonest because:
1. It gets to heal
2. Their entire playstyle revolves around poking you from range with m1 which forces you to engage but...
3. The second half of their playstyle just involves spamming parry and poet so you can never hurt them
4. If you try to engage and get parried you get hit by a guaranteed dragon breath which currently does about 50% of your hp (thanks to their damage boosts) and 90% of your qi bar from a single stack
5. If you try to defense break their parry spam they will just drop it and dragon breath in your face, defense breaks suck currently and no one gets hit by them unless it's from mixups of unavoidable damage which healers never have to worry about
6. Even if you do somehow miraculously manage to catch them through their ceaseless tenacity and parry spam, they will just stun you with serene breeze which guarantees them two procs of fire breath which is enough to fully exhaust you and do about 80% hp damage + execute + another stack after. Your best bet is using serene immediately after they do and pray that their ping is higher than 40 so you actually get to parry the first hit
7. No you can't time them out because they will just poke from range and even though it's not high damage they can easily accumulate enough to win by damage dealt even if you play perfectly and somehow catch them in a 10 second combo. You need to kill a healer, because they will not let you time out.

The whole point of mystic skills was to be much more powerful tools at your disposal than what most weapons can do with no resources, but to offset that they introduced vitality so you can't just brainlessly spam the strongest abilities players have at their disposal. Except healer, I guess healer gets to spam all they want.

The only reason more people don't complain about healer is because every nigger under the sun is playing shameless spear which is the only weapon that gets to counter them, and it does.

It deals low damage by itself and is mostly used to prolong combos. You should be happy they're Qing into your tenacity because then you get to smash them in the face with poet (into a true combo) or just full parry them.
Db Q has the lowest skill priority bar M1s and other non tenacity martials (only heng Q currently) if pressed first.
Also no db is going to use 4 Qs one after the other. There's no point. The cooldown of a Q is 20 seconds, and using all three without even comboing isn't even enough to fully exhaust anyone lmao. To actually deal worthwhile damage they need to get samsara and weave in light attacks in between.
The weapon falls apart if you know when to use tenacity to fuck them over or if you're just a beast at parrying. If you really really really have a skill issue, just hold block.

I play twinblades myself, it just makes no sense to bait using Qs because it's a guaranteed serene for the enemy. Good players won't serene on m1s that can be cancelled with dodge and will save it until the Q extension which can't be cancelled.

Could be the tree but generally it's gear + weapon buffs (stormbreaker spear makes you basically invincible).
If you don't feel like risking taking your elo because you don't have any talents, run a bunch of 3v3 matches for fun since the tree doesn't matter there but it gives you progress in it anyway. There will also possibly be catchup weeks where you'll get much more talent xp from quests.

yeah im dropping it even after q's and i have 10-12ms ping so, something weird is happening. im not exactly the most consistent at parry canceling free morph though so i assumed it was a skill issue.

also out of curiosity does q cancel into toad fine? i need to test that, i feel like toad would save me out of a lot of situations and it gives me something to combo into before someone has popped serene

No. Toad cannot be used by twinblades in any way shape or form. Not even from ropedart attacks. Only the already meta weapons get to use that :^)
If you're playing on 10 ping (wtf btw) you might catch someone at 60ms with it but no, it will never be true.

i love it when i go into SS and they can combo into toad and break my combos from the dot even if i somehow manage to catch them in return and their cutscenes are better!!!!!!!!! i love this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yea im not good at the game but this lets me give most 1400-1600's i fight a fair fight instead of getting steamrolled and i've won vs 2k+ every now and then. at this point im just getting sick of the top weapons just overall having more options and things i have to worry about

i dont regret bamboocut wind but pvp is a very different perspective when you have nearly no tenacity ever other than the ability that you can only use after comboing into it/if the enemy wastes endurance. i can see why the top bamboocut players are so scary since they arguably have had to master the game the most

It’s easy to say it looks sloppy when you are watching vs playing. Record your own gameplay and compare it to theirs. Gear can make a difference but unless you are a new player it shouldn’t be a big difference anymore.

its not. even average gear can get you 20k+ on nameless which is the lowest damage path in the game outside of healer. post a vid of your attempt and i can probably tell you what you're doing wrong. or if you're in HS, i posted my 25.5k practice run in our discord which beats my 25.1k rank 1 nameless leaderboard run
