Thinking of it like an incentive for carrying others and friendly competition between vets to try hard. If onslaught 3 is going to stay as it is the rewards might just need to be "challenge" level, one time big pinata of rewards per patch cycle or something.

Then let's say you buy yourself an ancestor that has 500% critical hit rate, you're only going up to 35.5%, but if Luna is buffing you, your base critical hit rate is increased 35; so with just the basic blue mod + Luna, 40% becomes 84% and wildly overcapped with that hypothetical ancestor mod.
