How do you feel about the pruning that took place this expansion? I have very mixed feelings. I'm pretty happy with the damage ability consolidation but the general utility/defensive reduction (which to be fair has been met with a moderate attempt at reducing need for them) has made me feel like I have somehow become a shittier player where the correct play is just to keep doing my rotation because there's legitimately nothing to press.

Everyone wants to be a soldier of THE LIGHT. We saw it with the Legion expansion as well, but you had DH's release during Legion, so I think that overshadowed the Paladin motif, also everyone wanted to be Illidian and what not. The last expansion that focused heavily on THE LIGHT was Legion, but Midnight isn't nearly as fun as Legion. Maybe people didn't like the class bases and class weapons, but I enjoyed it, also enjoyed the little idle minigames where you send units off to battle and unlock upgrades. It might have felt like something you see in mobile/gacha games, but I still thought it was fun.

>>563814427i dont think it feels like those at all, because both of those buttons were more or less available on demand. maybe an obliterate or two to get up to make RP before breath, but nothing like the 20 seconds of ramp dev has to go through before it can activate its super mode. the ramping puts it really at odds with modern ecounter design, especially lust windows. if someone pops lust second 1 of a fight before the dev can ramp, you miss out on buckets of dps, but at the same time holding lust also holds everyone elses CDs which reduces their dps so dev just really doesnt fit in with the current cooldown structure of the game
