Akinori Nishiyama did a good job holding the franchise together as a producer after Yuji Naka left but then Nishiyama himself was promoted to a higher position in 2010 and then Takashi Iizuka had to takeover and that's when the franchise sank in quality and not even Frontiers has recovered the franchise to 2000s levels of quality
