I think the real danger this game is facing is that people are putting far too much hope into the June update. This update is shooting to be smaller than the average season. If it's as big as Into the Light, I'll eat crow, but that's some classic overdelivery. I think players are setting themselves up for major disappointment. No news is not always good news.

I returned to Destiny 2. I just could not find another looter shooter with the same quality combat and build crafting. Maybe Division, but I wanted an FPS and space magic. Despite reports to the contrary, the game is very much alive in all the less try-hard areas, I can confirm. Still, the game is just fundamentally broken at a conceptual level. Most of it is too easy. The hard shit requires you to gather a fucking minivan full of people to do what amounts to a very long strike. Most of the rewards are either pointless, useless, or both. The game really needs a hard reboot because this shit ain't it. The gameplay is top-shelf, but there is no game here, just chores.
