I don't know if it's obvious from the quality of the webm because the health bar only moves a little, but when I do Zansei Rouga the CPU FDs it perfectly, not taking any chip damage, but when the CPU does it to me, I take a little.In older GG games sometimes moves would cross up if you FD'd but they wouldn't if you did, like Order Sol's Gunblaze. FD kind of holds you in spot and makes it so you don't auto-correct what direction your facing, I believe that's the reason for it. I don't know exactly how it works in Strive, but I imagine what's happening is that while the game doesn't make you block the direction Chipp is coming from for each hit, it won't auto-correct your FD either. To correctly FD the whole thing, like the CPU does here, you would need to switch the direction your blocking for each strike Chipp does so that you're correctly holding away from him each time. If not, you won't FD the hits that are coming from the direction that your holding back towards, making you take a little chip damage. Again, I'm not exactly sure how it works in Strive, but I would infer that this is the explanation.

So in a game where you have/had top tiers like Leo, HC, sometimes Nago, sometimes Ram, having some pretty good tools and fucked up mix isn't enough to pull her ahead of the pack, since a LOT of characters have good neutral and fucked up mix, especially when accounting for Elphelt's average damage (outright low for a lot of her mixups) and not great defense.
