The more I think about it the more I feel that it was the right choice to make araya a test tube baby. I can't see a right way to fit in a man that ryoshu loves, write his story arc with her, and then have him exit the canto conveniently to not change her character too much from what it currently is.I think it would also detract from her theme of motherhood a bit; it would be more about a lost family in general rather than a mother and her daughter.
