The problem with anti steakers is that they are so extreme. Stakes are an important part of any story. Stakes don't even have to relate to death but just be meaningful consequences to actions that effect the story as a whole. Harran, isabel, Nihilister are obviously contrived used of stakes with Nihilister literally being PIS. Nikke has been a story with basically no stakes, nikke commonly "die" and are immediately "revived" afterwards and return to status quo. The only real stakes that has happened in story is, Yuni and Mihara. You got to make the story feel like anything is possible, and not bound by "eye roll" "sure bud" moments. We don't see anti steakers point towards good deaths like Pinne, that have a lasting impact to Dorothy's character (that has been milked for way too long) or Rose (fuck 3rd anni). Nah, we always get the poster child 3rd anni garbage. YES nikke needs stakes, we need to know if we are fighting an important strong boss that it's possible for characters to sustain lasting consequences.
