If you took someone's kit you knew exactly what you were getting and you knew it'd work. The games have introduced more choices over time so it's pretty bad now though. The chances of you taking someone's kit and it having a setup you actually like are incredibly low.It's usually only useful as a way to swap to support to drop ammo and swap back now. And one time in the MVP mode in gauntlet when I got MVP and wanted to switch from a sniper rifle to something automatic to deal with the people rushing me. That's the only time I've deliberately switched kits long term in several hundred hours.It also worked better in the old games because they had a dedicated key for it instead of it being stuck on the same key as revive so you can swap by accident and then revive and now they have your kit and you can't get it back and everything's fuuuuucked.
Just completed the battle pass and it feels good knowing there's no more content to be released until the next season, so I can just not play this game at all :)

Shocking how dead the game is now. Started playing again this weekend and all but less than a handful of games were at least 50% bots. Easy way to farm for weapon levels though. Still gets boring eventually as bot lobbies pose no challenge and the bots are brain dead.

I had kind of thought the entire purpose of this thing was to envelop cover in a fire cloud but I guess it's not consistantcould be fixed with a bit more range, a bit more radius, and a proximity detonation so you could get it to consistently go off over the top or sides of cover to burn out the people behind it

There are zero good AR/carbine options for long range maps like Blackwell fields especially when you're being picked off by snipers. Maybe the ak 205 but that takes like 7 bullets to kill and its easy to run away from. I'm still pissed they stealth nerfed the sor 556 because it was a laser beam at long range and the bane of a snipers existence. Especially with hollow points but was also lethal at close and mid range, only beaten out by smgs at super close range.

Most people don't keep their stats private, so if you want to find out what guns are meta you can just check the specific weapon kill leaderboards on the tracker. It's M433/KORD/TR7 for ARs, M4 and 553R for carbines, SCW for SMGs, DRS for LMGs, M2010 and mini fix for sniper rifles. There aren't any real meta DMRs/shotguns, those categories aren't popular.This game has a pretty simple meta where people usually just stick to the guns that kill fast, whether that's from having good rof or from higher base damage. Simple as that. Only exceptions are the M2010 (probably from people who want a sweet spot and have been using the default rifle since level 1 and don't feel like switching) and the DRS. I'm still not sure why people love the DRS so much. It's not bad or anything but a lot of people act like it's the best gun in the world. They'll even use it on classes other than support so it has bad ADS time and I don't get it, why do they like it so much?M433/M4/553R are the most popular guns overall, which tracks with my personal experience. I see them all the time. Shoot fast, kill fast. Or for the 553R it's shoot slower but have nice damage and easy recoil.
