I don't know what it is about gacha stories but apparently they can keep people on the hook for a long time if you get it right. I personally care more about fun gameplay which isn't intuitive to gacha either because the longer they go the more streamlined the meta gets while conversely the more obtuse and annoying character building/gameplay becomes.
