Comparatively huge amount of effort to make her work for anybody who can't aim and meta slaving. It's "possible" to get value same as any other lower tier hero unless you're actually in the highest rank but between being a sniper without a one tap, a fairly horseshit melee combo that next to nobody will use properly and characters like Hela existing it's not seen as worth it. That and the relatively recent drama has reinforced the idea of her being a deliberate throw pick and in fact some people do pick widow to troll or protest.

Lost a match today because I tilted one of my supports. It was some girl and I got so fed up with hearing the passive aggressive complaints about Daredevil diving her, that I plugged my headset into my computer and very loudly told her to shut the fuck up. She started throwing right after and we lost the match. Dagger storm heals ~63 hp/s in a ground based area
Explosion heals for ~51 hp in a moving wall and amps 15% healing for 4s for ones hit

Gambit hp/s on m1 is ~178
Bridge boost is a bouncing chain heal that heals for ~52 hp and can bounce between allies multiple times in a large area and subsequent hits benefit from the 15% heal amp
Bash heals in aoe for 63 and has 2 charges

The reason gambit was so successful is because people were expecting him to be a duellist following a double DPS season, and then it turned out he was a strategist. Deadpool brought people back because people thought he would be a DPS, but then he turned out to be all 3 roles. That’s the trick to getting players back.
