He has very skinny buttons with higher than average startup and/or large recovery on top of very large hurtboxes on top of everything. His neutral has been terrible since he was released and he was carried by being able to DP and win the round off the oki he got from that

>>564050465It's +6 in your face with guard crush and it's really strong. The issue is that it costs 2 stamina which take an eternity to come back and now it doesn't lead to a combo anymore. Also, that's his pressure and not neutral. Playing with Sin buttons against any character with fast buttons or big disjoints is a demonstration in futility and requires chimping out and getting lucky or outplaying to a large degree

>>564050878The pressure ends as soon as it starts bro. His whole offense is that strike throw from the guard crush +6 in your face. It's hardly worth it since taking the throw is much better than anything else since it means he is out of resource and has to do pressure with 1 or no stamina and has to rely on the most basic strike throw ever. Chipp running up with 5K is string because it doesn't just lead to string pressure, but it also is hard to counter since he's so fast that he can just run at you and do it at anytime with little risk

Along comes 2.0; everyone's saying it's great, Gear is back. Well, I'm an older man now, I can't grind like I used to but... what the hey?I decided to my local, and man, it wasn't what I remember. We used to have metalheads, nerds, jocks, guys from all walks of life united out of their love of Gear. Now we have... the LGBT. But hey, I'm just being an old fogey now - time's have changed, so be it. So I sit down and give my old main Zato a go and man, I had heard they simplified it, but this was something else. I was still getting used to the controls, but I easily decimated everyone I came across. I wasn't even that good back in the day, but I guess even a bad oldhead is leagues ahead of a 'professional' Striver.Eventually I'm faced off with what I guess is a bit of a local celeb. He... she? I don't know what the politically correct term is, but the person with the pleated skirt who also had a five o'clock shadow - everyone was rooting for them. I chuckled. The sense of community had its charm, and I chatted to the baritoned favorite to win. I was feeling alright, but then it happened. They select Bridget on the character select. "Bridget? My favorite femboy!" I say. I get an earful to say the least, but that's okay - times have changed, but then they say it. "The old Bridget was outdated and gross." I'm a pretty cool and collected guy but that? That slander of an iconic Gear character - that dismissal of femboy representation that was brave then and even braver now? That ticked me off. I dropped the nice guy act, eviscerating this 'pro' with ease. They said a lot of nasty things about me over that. Boomer, chud, you name it. Maybe it's me, but I just saw a lot of hateful youths that day. I headed to the +R station and was met with only kindness. I'll stay here, with true Gear.
