Glad you saw the light. Let's repost The Pinking for old times sake. God her snapping was so good. You can just FEEL Makoto's absolute desperation the moment it happens. He played an incredibly risky game and he lost so hard he broke.

Her e-Pulse colour is pink, that was the most obvious sign. Makoto then finds her pretty. Then it turns out she can actually fight. Then he tries to get in her good books. Then it all goes wrong for him as she destroys him. Then it all goes wrong for her as she gets destroyed by someone else. Then she effectively saves herself (even if she needed outside assistance on multiple occasions in said salvation, and not just from one person either).

She has the looks, the ability and the ego to perfectly suit a pink. I knew there was something with Hotaruko from her debut, but it was only until episode 17 did I realise how fucking best she is. The archive backs this up as well.

She's outclassed the main girl with a 12 episode handicap. That says quite a lot about how much the staff like Hotaruko, but also how badly they've handled Reina. As I've said before, Hotaruko's the Mimi to Reina's Sora: she's the second girl, but she's the best girl by a mile. Or rather, a nautical mile.

I fucking hope Hotaruko comes back just to get beaten up again. Honoka is a fucking gigachad in my eyes. At least she is honest about her warcrimes.
