The new concept art clarifies what's happening in the latest Medius support wave. Medius is asleep inside Vidrium so Finmel broke into his mental world to wake him up. She's half transparent to represent that she's a projection, it's not a vision of her being dead in the future. The bottom left mentions the motif is a crested ibis. The new Link 2 is also one, so you can guess from its effect what happens next.

"During the Main Phase, if you control another DARK Fairy monster, you can (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Link Summon using materials you control, including this card."

Finmel wakes up Medius and gets him out of Vidrium. He combines with the Link 2 into a new Link 3 Diactorus. He likely points down and has bonus effects if he's pointing at a Fusion, Synchro, or XYZ monster, because the new Theorealize has a GY effect where you can summon one of those from your GY to a zone a Link monster points to.

Given how many K9 variants stem from having access to easy level 5's such as Crystron and VS, i say its a very low quality bait given that Lunalight's rank 4's are better than Ripper, but it is still a possibility because a level 5 that's easy to summon (be dumping it with chick and tiger reviving it, or just it coming out for free from hand) is just the biggest K9 bait that may work.

I will concede with a lv5 = patching a gap between all the level 4's and wolf (a lv6) is a better reason, but i've seen far too much of K9 sniffing out every engine that got level 5's. I still cringe at a guy i dueled with CyDraK9 and the guy just bricked.

Our present obstacle is a machine granted the title of “Gorgon”. Because of it, our path ahead remains blocked, and many lives have been lost.
Its most dangerous aspect is the electromagnetic waves released from the gramophone in its right arm. Any machinery affected by it stops functioning. Whether we can stop it with a long-range attack it cannot perceive, or whether we conduct a raid without relying on machines, at this moment, our prospects look grim. The only saving grace is that it always appears alone; due to this peculiar ability, it must be difficult to act alongside other machines.
I may be reading too much into it, but I have often felt that it holds a clear hostility and murderous intent towards us. Other machines have a tendency to enjoy back-and-forth exchanges during battle, and they have even playfully allowed our retreat. But this one does not show this behavior, making sure to pursue the last person until the bitter end.
Finally, one of our members encountered it while carrying out a solo mission. However, it did not show any particular response and went on its way. Does it attack in response to large crowds? Or did it not recognize him as a threat to begin with?… I will add any new information as soon as I obtain it.

When Judai got Neos and his space buddies, he simply integrated them with the rest of his hero cards into one big pile deck.

Yusei got new cards but they were strictly for reinforcing the base of his deck to make his Synchros fasters.
