Night elves on horde and undead on alliance is the only alternative arrangement that makes sense. All the playable undead are humans anyway and the Night elves had 0 reasons to join alliance aside from one orc clan pissing them off

I finished the Gilneas starting area hours ago but decided to give it time to really settle and digest before talking about it.I can understand why people have such strong feeling about "nuWoW." It definitely is a very different game. Gilneas felt way more like a single player RPG where I'm the main character than an MMO. I really didn't see that many players, and the few I saw had no impact on my gameplay because we were all able to complete our quests without needing to fight for spawns or group up. And because everything was crafted to be soloable just for me, with mobs having their levels scale to mine, with the idea that I'm a new player, I never really felt too challenged or like anything was all that hard.But with all that said, I didn't hate it. I really enjoyed it. It was a well crafted rollercoaster ride, ending with a big action movie explosion. I can see why some people were disappointed by Turtle Wow's Gilneas now. While it was true to vanilla design, it just doesn't look as good or gives as satisfying of an experience in comparison. There you just sort of collect bear asses for XP and then you outlevel the zone. Here you had clear cut goals and a well defined mission, with side quests complimenting them.I'm going to continue playing on Tauri if time permits, for as long as it remains fun. Thanks to the anons who recommended it.

If we'd go by WC3 frozen throne standards WoW should predominantly play on Kalimdor. Theramore should be the size of Stormwind, night elves should be some kind of superpower that nobody messes with and not playable by the players.The Barrens should be a massive battlefield between Jainas Theramore forces and Thralls horde.The eastern kingdoms should just be a massive wasteland. Contested by relatively tiny groups in comparison to what remains of the Scourge and demonic forces left on it.The two factions would both only feature three races. Orcs, tauren and trolls for Horde. This is basically just me venting... maybe some likeminded people can relateIt has been several days now since the unfortunate announcement of the server's shutting down. The day it got announced my guild and I were logging in to do our weekly raid, and as people were logging in the announcement was made and the raid was canceled.I basically immediately uninstalled the game and left all the discord servers out of frustration. I have got to say that Turtle wow was singlehandedly the best mmo/online gaming experience ive ever had in my life. Between the awesome community, cool gms, my guild of likeminded gamers, and the quality and quantity of custom content that the Devs provided. It will forever stand as the single best iteration of WoW that has been or will be released (I doubt blizzard will ever make me regret saying that).A couple days have gone by and I find myself lost with what to do with myself. Modern gaming in general has really soured me, as I seem to have fallen out with most current games and return to the handful Ive been playing for decades now (how many more runs of terraria and stardew valley can I do!).Its really hit me that there isn't a viable alternative - Modern mmos are completely trash, rampant with bots, RMT, and overly complicated FOMO systems that dont encourage socializing or working together. The entire genre as it stands is completely disinteresting to me for this very reason.Is that just the end of it?
