He is positioned as leader to Fuuma clan but is someone who had no say in if he wanted to be one nor strikes me as one who would strive for this position if someone who can be trusted showed up and took it. Sakuya and Tatsurou are people that would see position like this as a way to prove themself but for Kotaro it's position that forces him to try to be better. His family is also two extremes of very loyal members and extremly critical ones to how he handles this responsibility to the point of turning on him, both not able to fully help him in that position.
