I feel like the reason, at least personally, all the realizations in Ruina fall flat is the way in which their positive development happens feels oddly impersonal, resembling more a necessitated recital than a true exchange between characters and varying rhetoric, like Roland and Angela settled into their eventual more hopeful selves because they *had* to even if their more negative traits felt truer to them, I hope that if Faust being Beatrice is indeed the case, he leans heavily into the personal aspect of it between her and Dante rather than seemingly addressing the general idea of whatever traits he'd want to write him (Dante) being saved from. Now having said that, I do not even trust a single person on the writing team to be capable of doing this right, at least judging from what we have seen. There's odds this doesn't even go down that path to begin with really.
