The term "fuck" has strong (historical) connotations of penetration and male dominance. You cannot swap X's gender while retaining the meaning of "X fucks." The egg example is not misguided - Lae'zel is infertile, and this informs more than her enjoyment of risk-free casual sex. If the player character who romances Lae'zel cares about starting a family, this infertility might eventually become a relevant factor. The consideration obviously doesn't exist if we swap genders, interspecies compatibility put aside. Characters do not exist in a vacuum - they only become meaningful in their relations with others, who often come from societies and cultures with gendered expectations. I'm definitely picking Karlach now that rage lasts 10 minutes in 5.5e and I got a fart cloud Barbarian option (Shadow Gnawer). To be 100% honest I'd really like a W*zard as my 4th slot so it's two martials 2 casters. So between Gale or Wyll who do you think would annoy her less/who seems more capable?

>>564435953Honestly the biggest difference is that jumping has been nerfed and costs a ton of my movement, but no longer costs a bonus action. I'm still only level 3 but your martials will probably all need the Mobile or Athlete feats to function. OH, another big difference is that backgrounds give you feats. Lae'zel, thanks to being a soldier, gets Savage Attacker from level 1 (which means you can't be a mage without ignoring her free martial based feat). Weapons and armours also have strength requirements so you can't be a STRlet and wear heavy armour without receiving penalties. Classes also come with weapon masteries, eg. a martial who can take the quarterstaff mastery can knock enemies prone as a part of their basic attack (the enemy has to make a saving throw upon getting hit). Rage also last 10 minutes (100 turns) so you won't run out unless you can't get your 1 hit per turn in. They also received the 5.5e nerfs. As an example, Divine Smite is now just like the other smites, it takes both your actions. You also receive a debuffs that locks you into using only one leveled spell a turn. Healing spells like Healing Word got buffed though, it now feels like an actual worthwhile spell to take.They kept the homebrew that potions cost a bonus action, which I agree with because taking my action to take a swig of a potion is something I have never agreed with.

BG3 really evened the playing field in terms of martials vs casters, and taking on the 5.5e ruleset changed quite a few things: Tavern Brawler is no longer crazy OP, as an example. I don't remember what it does now but I do remember it's not longer the BG3 version. When I get my next level up I'll know for sure. Iirc Spell Sniper also got modified (aka Larian's change was reverted) to be closer to the tabletop version. I'm pretty sure I also saw Eldritch Spear on the Warlock Invocation list, so I bet Warlock is back to being a magic sniper if it stacks with Spell Sniper.
