The problem is people don't seek that out, they play side order, find the starting difficulty frustrating (as the main thing you need to beat it is knowledge you don't have), get hacks until it's easy, then either stop playing or just brain off the rest until it's too easy and don't really learn how things interact
You have to go out of your way to make SO actually click for you which while a flaw in the mode does explain why it's controversial, I really like SO but I also happened to have it "click" and now have all the chips at 3 lights etc

I really hope the salmonids aren't the main enemy.
I won't be terribly disapointed if they are. But i like it when there are huge suprises in games like this.

Salmon being one group on the coast, and something else being further inland would be really cool. It always seemed like they should have added jelletons to salmon run as an occasional gimmick wave.
I also dont want to let go of the idea that nautilus would live on the spiral islands. It makes sense right?
Anyway i think the trailer finally kills any concerns that the game will be survival crafting.
Which is a slight shame because building cusom grind rail and ink jet layouts sounds fun.

Deep Cut are tacked on Jabronis and need a whole seperate game to give them characterization.
