When "Legendary Pilots" said it wasn't fully realistic, I thought they'd be going for VTOL VR or IL-2 levels of realism, but it's just straight up retard mode. Looks really boring and pointless
>>
>>564360237
You'll have to narrow that down a bit. That's every modern sim, they're all basically Ace Combat: HOTAS Edition.
>>
>>564360561
I mean, just watching it, the physics are literally Ace Combat level. Nuclear Option is very arcadey in terms of systems, but you can tell a lot is going under the hood in terms of physics.
>>
>>564360705
Oh, Legendary Pilots is the name of the game. Looks about on the same level of flight simulation as Sea Power, plus it's more of a management game with retro graphics.

Has the flight sim community always been such a bunch of entitled whiners ? I'm only playing since the release of MSFS 2024 but holy crap the few active forums I've browsed are mostly complaints about everything.

I guess you don't need Navigraph if you fly into airports that don't even have IFR approaches

Good point, it also makes these results not that useful either because people who play DCS don't need Navigraph and are unlikely to fill in their survey.

I had to look GeoFS up as I'd never heard of it, it's a browser and phone based flight sim, I don't know why you'd want to play a flight sim on your phone, but this is quite impressive in a browser.

It's weird isn't it? But that's what the majority of the community are like, and always have been. To be fair if they're using Navigraph then they want it for charts as

Still makes me kind of sad. When I see how shitty the community and feedback is on the official forums it's a small miracle independent developers still exist and make new planes.

Does X-Plane have any FUN or is it a super serious trip planning game only?
>>
>>564460226
> super serious trip planning game only
i would not call it super serious, but there is not much to do if you treat it like a game. There is not such thing as career mode, there are addons but they are not that fun. The fun imo is larping, VATSIM, learning to fly different types of aircraft, practicing new stuff i learned studying for my PPL etc.
>>
>>564458895
If you have a lot of storage space and shit internet, sure, otherwise 24 is better in every way apart from ease of piracy. Get the higher tier edition if you can, most planes carry over to 24 whenever you decide to upgrade.
>>564459368
It was a huge loss to redfor's operational "completeness" and the overall balance of the sim, even ignoring the larger structural damage of losing Razbam and all of their modules.
OctopusG's official Fitter is probably lost in development hell too. The free mod mostly feels like the Flanker reskin that it is, but at least it's nice to look at.
There's a huge strike/multirole shaped hole on the Soviet side that might just never be filled.

U-boat or Silent Hunter IV.
>Silent Hunter IV
Pacific war on American boats. You'll need to get mods from subsim which means registering an account IIRC.
>U-boat
U-boat fleet. You can get mods from Steam. It's more modern than Silent Hunter and just released a DLC that apparently broke the game and every mod. Silent Hunter III is also Atlantic focused, but I haven't played it.
