It was such a great system with so many interractions between characters and the environment. For example, you could directly lift and knock back enemies without stupid vulnerable stacks. And it applied a very long CC so you could use all your skills and hold left mouse button for 10 seconds. Or, another example, the way arts damage and arts reactions worked was way better too. Every time you used an arts skill you had a basic 10% chance (15% with gear set) to spawn an elemental orb or corresponding element. Then you had to use an aoe skill (only aoe, targeted skills didn't work so fuck you Perlica) on that orb to cause a reaction. There were 3 arts damage types: pulse, lattice and heat and their interractions resulted in 3 very unique arts reactions. Pulse + lattice resulted in Superconduction reaction that dealt a lot of Pulse damage in aoe! Lattice + heat damage resulted in Shatter reaction that dealt a lot of Lattice damage in aoe! Heat + Pulse damage resulted in Radiation reaction that dealt a lot of heat damage in aoe!
