What breaks the story is Andersen having killed VTC who were "actually" a large source of the Ark's corruption from decades ago and other corrupt officials also being stamped out. It just makes things like Eden's grudge against the Ark look even dumber when those who wronged them have been dead for years or the older plot point of SKK needing to challenge the CG for power also being silly in hindsight.
