They're strong enough that you'll win plenty of games and because they're a protagonists deck and a fan favorite one at that they'll always get new support. There's more confirmed hero support in three of the upcoming sets actually.You either do that and pick a deck you like that is 'good enough' and have fun with it or you spend your days chasing the meta, paypigging out for each new top tier deck as they come out. All depends on how competitive you wanna be and if you find that to be fun.I'd go with the former if it were me, but it's your call.

Feels like for the vast majority of meta decks, the obvious ban choice is the midpoint ED extender in terms of bridging and also ability to extend (since something like two names getting negated usually translates into said ED extender which would necessitate ANOTHER negate), very rarely could you hit something else and easily cripply a deck.
