Audience can choose some keywords and subjects that will be mentioned in said play.The chosen actors instead get a small cheat sheet walking them through their lines or actions that they should perform to move the story forward. While there are are moments given where you're free to improvise, trying to adlib some of your other lines shouldn't be that bad aslong as the structure stays the same.

https://poal.me/87niyqWhat would be anon's opinion on a notification bot for /vrg/ instances?To make a concrete example, lets suppose we have a discord bot to which you can subscribe, and it will DM you of any ongoing instances, without having to participate in any server.I think its pretty advantageous to have a way of being notified of any active instances, without having to constantly monitor the thread or tracker.My only concern would be on how it could impact the thread quality, but the more I think about it, the less likely it seems it could have a negative impact, since using the bot shouldn't require you to join a separate community, and it can also be easily built over the existing tracker.Please share any thoughts or concerns you might have, I'll probably develop it for personal use regardless: this is more of a question of whether or not we should put this in the sticky.Before you start shouting at YN, no, I'm not him.

There is a web push api, which you can use with something like ntfy.sh to avoid needing a backend at all, which can give you phone/desktop notifications without needing to go through discord's bot sdk. Another thing you can do today is use a somewhat hidden feature of 4chanX's filters. If you put /https:\/\/vrch\.at\/[a-z0-9]{8,}/boards:vg;highlight;notify:yes;In the comment filter, it'll give you a desktop notification for all posts with a vrchat instance in it. You can theoretically also get notified for like walkabout minigolf lobbies or pavlov or whatever this way, as long as you can regex match the post format. If you can convince hosters to use a standard keyword (@mahjong or whatever), then you've basically got a ping role.The related thing I think that'd be useful is an event calendar. I had a rough parser for this planned in https://vrg.party/events.html , but never got around to completing it (you can see how old it is from the posts in there...). In current year rather than some autism format you could get an LLM to do event parsing (and/or just trust whoever bakes the threads to find all the events). If you also you published it in ical format, you could in theory subscribe to it in another calendar app (google or owncloud or whatever) and setup filters/notifications however you wanted as well.The problem I had with all of this is that even in the heydey of vrg lobbies/events, I never quite cared enough to actually want push notifications from anons on 4chan. Like what, if I was out and got the "ALART PAVLOV HAPPENING", was I going to run back home and join? nah, not really.
