This game is weird. The girls are all charming except for the japanese potato (which I frankly can't be bothered to complete) and they got a few nice moments, yet... it just doesn't make up a satisfying FMV, it's too loose and shallow. While the other Storytaco games I played so far go through lengths to integrate your character and motivation throughout the story in a way that comes off natural, here you feel like a poorly defined spectator being dragged by the arm. The girls who didn't know you beforehand fall for you for no particular reason, some very light flirting happens and you don't get to know them better, their one-on-one moments leading to the climax being just turning to you and saying they like you. The choices feel off and overly binary most of the time. The QTEs during shoots (5 second long snippets) are terrible, the game teases you about choosing outfits then immediately denies you, only delivering a single daydream sequence with one character, and there's so much aggressive leering and provocative posing frontloaded you grow desensitized early on, a far cry from those well executed, rare, rewarding moments with Gran for example. The endings are okay I guess, but it's got that problem where you end up preferring the normal to the good ones. These girls deserve better.

Don't Fool Me, Beauties is my favorite KFMV, but I don't see a way they'd be able to keep Bit-na and Ji-woo around. Bit-na planned to go overseas, and Ji-woo was a freeloader who probably would move back home. Then all you're left with are Ga-eun and Ah-young, and while I like both of them Bit-na and Ji-woo were my top 2. The hotel setting would be good for sequels though, since new guests coming and going would be an easy way to write out and introduce new girls.

Summer's Heartbeat I think actually needs a sequel, especially if they can keep the entire cast. The game felt like it ended just as it found it's footing, and the cast was good just a bit underdeveloped. Plus there are no in story reasons why any of the cast would need to leave. Roring could still work at the shop to try and prove herself outside of her families coffee chain, Dayeon can stick around because the MC still has debt to pay off, and the rest of the girls all live in town. Now who knows if they would actually keep all the girls though. I thought the Five Hearts cast was good, but they still replaced some of them.

I haven't played Heroines Through My Lens yet, so I can't say whether a sequel would be beneficial or not.

Summer's Heartbeat would fit a sequel but I could do without.

Don't fool me, beauties! is my favorite, but I don't want to ruin it with the possibility of a worse sequel. All the girls and routes are good, so let's leave it at its peak.
Heroines through my lens only has two good routes, imo. So, a sequel with better characters would be good.
But my vote goes for Summer's Heartbeat. It's amazing, but some endings are bad. It deserves a sequel or dlc more than any other Storytaco's FMV.

It was last year's competition and based on the filming for Too Hot to be True, it's likely that the filming for Summer's Heartbeat finished long before she won the competition. The true sign will be whether she shows up in future FMVs or not.
