Went digging for what kind of Chinese mahjong is actually in this game and apparently it's called Sichuan mahjong, doesn't use honor tiles at all and has very fast games. Some of the chinks are confused also, since every weeb interested in mahjong knows how to play Japanese mahjong at this point. Devs probably wanted shorter games for gacha brains but who knows
