The result is that you can't really bring any of the Portal evo package and Zwei is a tenuous pick as she doesn't further your wincon like Broadcaster or Artist and she needs an evo to be an efficient handcheck. I'm glad Portal has so much to consider though.

Combo forest is just so fundamentally fucked at a core level it is impossible to buff. All the new cards they got are great except there is nothing to combo into. Playing completely passively and filling the board with bodies isn't a win condition they just literally do not have a win condition.The best thing they could do is undo the Sathanid nerf so they could at least play evo again and just slot a couple new cards into the deck.

Games like Master Duel and Shadowverse WB expecting you to play 200 games in ranked just to afford a competent deck is pretty cruel. Yet somehow Master Duel gets a decent influx of new players while WB struggles. Dunno why this is, they're both pretty awful in terms of new player experience, Master Duel arguably worse because you have such a long list of staples(Ash Blossom, Maxx C, Fuwalos, Imperm, etc) you need to craft before you can start building a deck. My theory is WB sucks at retaining new players because the progression isn't actually tied to the ranked ladder so there's no sense of accomplishment when you win. There's like, no rewards for playing ranked. In MD you get gems for ranking up each season but in Shadowverse you get nothing lol. Surely Cygames is aware of this but just choose to keep Ranked shitty for their own reasons, idk.Anyway, unrelated but I actually think WB pandering so hard with anime/gacha of the month copycats for all their new sets is having the opposite effect. like this is so shameless lol. if I'm a weeb gacha player and see this as the promo for a gacha game right after the show it's referencing ended, I'm just gonna assume it's some low effort slop game that will rugpull its players after a month when the servers die.

I am enjoying this expansion. Out of hand storm damage has been toned down CONSIDERABLY from previous metas Because of that, healing has toned down CONSIDERABLY from previous metasBoard states actually seem to matter Forest and Haven could use a buff, and this would be even better
