Asuka's route is a glorified omake. Asuka's dad is set up to be a meaningful Gendou-esque villain but is really just a cuck.ISLAND starts promising, but its just as bad, perhaps worse. The protagonist is an insipid, pathetic waste of air who bitches and moans in the rain while thinking about that route's love interest getting railed by another guy. Of course, the supposed main heroine is already pregnant with what is ultimately another guy's kid at the start of the game. The plot is INCREDIBLY contrived and moved along by willful idiocy. Major character rarely put two and two together regarding the EXTREMELY OBVIOUS mysteries of the plot, and when they do, they don't tell each other. The true main heroine is a Mary Sue who blames the idiotic protagonist for things that are entirely her own fault as a result of her refusing to tell him critical information when she has ample opportunity to, but neither she nor the simpering retard MC nor the narrative itself EVER acknowledge this, because the way ISLAND is written, she can do no wrong. In fact, women in ISLAND apparently can never do anything wrong, even when they do horrible shit that was called out as horrible in Himawari when it was done by a man.

That Sorimachi is the one to the rescue if Kanae is dead is also pretty kino.I have a question, though. Do I have all this right?-In the path to Ichijou's route I originally got, Kanae survives until after Chapter 5 and is killed by Ginseigo during the assassination of Moriuji. If Kageaki kills Kanae before then, Haruhiro and Akitaka do nothing and Ginseigo wipes out Moriuji on her own.-In the path to Kanae's route I've gotten now, Sorimachi does not deliver Masamune to Ichijou at the end of Chapter 4 (and what happens to the GHQ soldiers driven mad by Ginseigo's song on Enoshima is unexplained, creating a plot hole, albeit not one too bad to overlook). Ichijou is then killed by Kageaki at the end of Chapter 5 to satisfy the Law of Balance after killing Aoe (whereas in Ichijou's own route, Aoe is explained to have been discovered because of help from the journalist Tokita Mitsuou, who Kageaki kills instead). Kageaki always without exception kills Ichijou to enter into Kanae's route.
