I wouldn’t worry too much about much about overlapping with party members unless your exactly the same class combination as them. Different combos play very differently.

They also should consolidated Weapon Focus into weapon groups instead of just individual weapons, and exotic weapons in general should have been gassed up to justify the itemization limitation or feat tax, either my adding an inherent unique characteristic to the weapon type or just have exotic items be especially strong.
