I wonder if they're gonna fix some of the animations, the double jump is pretty bland, surprise they didn't open with unique character animations. The combat is okay, the pacing of cutscenes seems way off though. Overall, 6/10 where's it at. Hopefully they get some money to help fix some of the more minor details, I think if they do that, and try distinguishing themselves more from ZZZ, game will be very good.

Game is unfortunately pretty fun, a shame its part of a deeply oversaturated genre. If it had come out a few years ago it might have really blown up. Im not so sure it will today though.

I’m not a gacha gamer. I got NTE because I was very bored and stumbled upon it by pure chance. The combat reminds me of Stellar Blade somewhat in a good way, the dodge is practically lifted from it. I like that when you need to do a basic attack to interrupt an enemy, you can actually trigger it with any attack, whether an ability or a character switch attack when they take the field. So far I really enjoy figuring out rotations with characters and having them do their attacks when they tag in and doing the perfect dodges. All the side content is fun for me and reminds me of Yakuza games a bit. The map is comfy and beautiful in a lot of places. I was running around some market trying to discover all teleport locations and I randomly ran into Mint just chilling there looking at restaurants and she even had some unique voiced dialog. I like that you can have characters hang out with you or get in the car with you. The city minigames are fun. The game genuinely feels lived in when you can interact with the named characters so much. I’m having so much fun! And the photo mode is a blast too! I haven’t smiled at a game in a long time.
