While I understand there's obstensibly nostalgia over Flank Jeff, his game kit reeked of shit tier design because unlike Mantis and Adam, his healing ability had to approached instead of instantly received from a click of a button. Not to mention this was during the era when Luna, CnD, and Loki's Ult being broken and Jeff's Ult had fuck all to do with healing so he was doubly so a throw pick with a niche play style. S2 was his worst season from a win rate AND pick rate perspective (WR:43% to 42% / PR:15% to 12% thanks to Sue's inclusion). If Jeff's game plan wasn't reworked then the character would be widow's level of uselessness in the current meta we have now. Funny how his WR jumped by a 4% in S2.5 (gee I wonder why).

It did 3 things. It didn't solve the issue, fucked over some heroes for no good reason (thing's charge counts as 4 instances of cc, but not a single one of invisible woman's cc counts as cc) and it made the game objectively worse. So it was a huge fuckup, but that's to be expected with Zhiyong.

What I take issue with is the term "barrier cuck," which implies Strange is meant to be holding his barrier up all the time. If you do this, the barrier evaporates and you are now useless.

You want to be close to the enemy as Strange so you can bodyblock incoming shots to charge your team's healer ults, and so you can melee weave. When you aren't close enough to melee weave, you can easily weave the barrier between your shots instead. The only time you should be holding the barrier up is when you are trying to protect someone.

Strange's barrier is an extremely proactive tool, and you are a pretentious midwit.
