In my opinion, job homogenization is fine in hard encounters, but the game really suffers in easier ones.A lot of the new content was underwhelming, and there was little to do in between patches (which was extended to being 4 months apart instead of 3.5). The relic weapon grind was literally just turning in 1500 tomes three times. Island sanctuary ended up being a boring spreadsheet minigame. You could log in on patch day and finish 90% of the patch in a few hours. Variant dungeons were a cool concept but boring in practice. It was only interesting when solving puzzles to find all the paths but you'd have to run the entire dungeon again to attempt another solution so it quickly became a drag. Criterion dungeons were the most fun thing they added in Endwalker but the rewards weren't good enough to incentivize goal-oriented hardcore players and it was too hard to be accessible to the rest of the playerbases, so it was pretty much DOA. Eureka Orthos and Crystal Conflict were ok if you're into deep dungeons and PvP but those are pretty niche.

can someone explain the gog gimmick in phase 3? I'm getting really annoyed trying to farm this PoS since every time I lose it costs me over 20 minutes of wasted time, but I don't know what I'm doing wrongI'm going ape shit on it with dragon weapon whenever its in range (and the laser pods when its hiding in the sky) but I'm always "failing to suppress its power!" The knockback system changes in Wilds is one of the worst things they've ever done. It genuinely just screams "look how much money we've wasted on additional mocap for no reason". In all games up until SB, the system was clear because it was always the same animations.

Put 4h total into MH Outlanders. How the fuck is it possible that this game has more unique movesets with all the characters than have been added across the past 3 mainline titles lol.For example you got the Pyro dude who is inspired by MH Wilds Rage Slash, but he also has a heat gauge (like charge levels) that can level to level 3, and that you can extend by using the movement slash. And then the final charge of the frenzied rage slash is just this huge ass aerial dunk. The 2 DB characters also have completely distinct movesets from another and from the default DB moveset that your main character has. There's also an Aerial HBG girl in this.Oh and the game has more seamless coop than wilds too.That said, this game unironically has like 30+ shitty chore/reward menus, it's driving me insane.
