On the topic of peripherals we need to consider that SFIV was the last Street Fighter title made with arcade stick as the main peripheral in mind, and that's mostly because SFIV started as an arcade cabinet game.Since SFV the main peripheral switched to pad, and that's because SF games started to be designed with consoles as a base, when Type Arcade became a port of the PC version. The way DI and Parry are made is to accomodate the pad layout in mind. On stick/regular leverless layout you still have a DI/Parry macro by default, but it's very far from the other buttons, and to rely on the pinky finger for quick reaction moments is not reliable. For pad this is not a problem because having the DI/Parry button on a shoulder button is much more natural and intuitive.This is why stick/leverless are coming up with these weird layouts with extra buttons, they're compensating with the fact SF6 is fundamentally designed around pad.
