The easiest way to get out is to just simply jump, but it's kinda what he wants you to do in response to seeing a dandy step coming out, so you'll eat It's Late instead, and get put back where he wants you to be. Practice recognizing the dandy followups, so you're not reacting to dandy step itself, and you'll beat Slayer more often than not.

Just jump and punish it, throwing it isn't worth the risk, especially in a situation where you're assuming he'll definitely do it. It's not going to hit you airborne so jumping and punishing with a jumping normal is very reliable.

Anyone else in western Canada have a horrible time getting good connections in any FG? I have gigabit fiber and a non-existent bufferbloat and still have a hard time getting connections better than 80-90ms. Strive feels like a discord fighter under these conditions.

I think several characters have parts of their kits that are borderline useless now, but the character is strong enough in other areas so it doesn't matter as much. For example Baiken's pretty good right now but the parry has been reduced to a joke. So would like to see buffs to certain moves that they are actually viable to use and not useless garbage, but with compensation nerfs so that the powerlevel doesn't get out of hand again.

Is your connection still shit when playing people in LA etc (where a lot of people do play FGs)? I'm in the GTA and the best I get is like 18-24ms (presumably to people in my same area), but usually closer to 50-60ms for people in EC US. In my professional opinion our last mile / residential ISP service is a joke compared to urban Europe and Japan (likely Korea and China as well). When I worked at a local college we got a direct line to TORIX put in (peering / literal space a 151 Front was a hot commodity), so even while being 40km away we had ~1ms RTT to other TORIX peers; that shit is ~14-20ms from home at about the same distance.

ping is a bad measure of connection quality, all you're really seeing is distance and 80ms isn't enough raw delay to cause issues in good rollback. If you're getting a lot of significantly bad connections at sub 100ms the problem is instability rather than ping. Use ethernet instead of wifi, avoid other wifi fags, make sure your network isn't set up retarded like multiple routers all doing NAT, otherwise just bitch out your ISP for overselling nodes. Sometimes changing DNS servers can help if it just happens to route smoother.

I know overall ping is a bad way to measure connection quality, but when it comes to fighting games and especially ones running on UE, anything over 70ms feels horrible. Strive rollback is not good despite what people think. As for the rest of it, I only use ethernet, I dodge wifi players, single router and have experimented with other DNS and have stuck with Cloudflare. Next step would be to talk to my ISP, but I get solid results when doing network speed and latency tests. Feels like I've done all I can on my end aside from move but lol no

He's balanced by the fact that if his blood gauge fills up completely, he goes into blood rage where he gets access to fullscreen chip-damage dealing normals, a fullscreen invincible super that deals 70% damage and free game pause once the state ends where the game freezes you so Nago can choose the most beneficial option for himself. (Imagine if another install character used to have that but then they took it away, hahah wouldn't that be just crazy and reek of dev favoritism hahah).

No, the reason they had to change the DPs was to make it so you don't win a game from a single reversal, which is tied to the absurdly high damage the game has. This problem was exacerbated by two of the DP havers also having some of the highest damage in the game. When people complained about DPs, complaining about Ky's or Chipp's was far rarer, or at least that's how it felt to me.
In the older games, you could get oki or a combo from a meterless DP without even using meter, but that was fine because the games had a lot of reversal-safe gapless oki and pressure and the damage was lower so even if they successfully DPd you, you weren't going to die from their next oki mix despite having full health before the DP.

Sounds like you get it, though Deflect Shield is also an option. Aside from that you can try to either IB Zato so he's in throw range or FD him until he's forced to either press a riskier button or you can kill Eddie.
The Zato mathcup for most characters is about just beating him in neutral before he can force you to block, his neutral isn't great and you can always kill Eddie if Zato tries to send him out without you being in blockstun or HKD.

Eddie hitboxes mean that will almost always be a trade, which will in Zato's favor since he's fully able to act and gets Eddie back in a pictosecond anyway. Not to mention the massive risk of getting hit by Eddie without killing him means you are getting wallbroken.

Tempest was forced to retire so he can't sweep them again, Jack didn't get some invitation thing he was supposed to or something from ASW for winning AWT, Nitro / LK were knocked out, and other competitive NA players didn't attend because they either don't care about Strive enough anymore (2XKO career copeium), don't have sponsors willing to foot the bill, or didn't want to bother when they have other events going on more locally soon (tournaments or content).

Well in the East, there is a tremendous value on character loyalty, so you won't find too many playing whatever character is top tier of the patch. Westerners were quite few in this bracket so there was very little of the typical tierwhores you would find in the West. Also, it's still relatively early in the new version. Some characters are still finding out their matchups and their truly scary tech. Let's just appreciate it as it is where there is both character variety and true character loyalists in this top 8
