Anyone have recent experience with paid transfers?Long ago in the days of free wotlk I moved characters to a realm that is dead as shit and I would like to move the main ones back home. I saved my names on some level 1s back then and now that I have returned to the game I want to move my characters back and reclaim my reserved names.Lot of the info when I search is either old as hell when the system was different or the closest answer I found was not worded well. I've heard if you name holder is at least level 30 when you delete them it saves the name just for your account for a little while in case of character restore. I've heard both you need to delete the name holder before moving and after moving so I don't know if I should move them, delete the low level, and then it will prompt to change the moved character on login with that name now available, which would mean delete the low level after doing the move. Someone also made it sound like you couldn't log into to anyone or do anything at all until you pick the name, which would mean deleting the place holder first.I don't mind getting the place holder past 30 for the security of it, but I've no idea based on the blizzard posts I could find if I need to delete them before or after moving the character over.Every vid I've found to show it is for the free transfer process that got me into this mess in the first place.For the most part its not a big deal to be on other realms, but towns are dead, auction house doesn't move so I have to shuffle any drops through warband to sell on someone else. The names are easy enough to solve since you could keep the extension of the initial realm or do like Diablo 3 for it. (Obviously the tank spec is the most sensitive, but DPS as well.) If you're struggling with the groups you usually play with, that could be an issue.15 is also in the range where having bad DPS can be a huge difference for support roles in boss fights, because you just run out of resources to deal with pulses by the end. So there's only so much you can do.
