A good story is one that is willing to make you uncomfortable, and this part (and the whole TT star story) is a shining example of it. The fact that they make you sit through this whole scene, everything each TT Star members thought, and each thing said to them in agonizingly clear detail was very painful to sit through, which, yk, is the point.I know some might think this is shallow praise, but I personally think it’s worthwhile. A lot of gacha games nowadays imply the pain rather than showing it, rather than letting the player hear it, rather than letting the player feel uncomfortable. Nikke has always been good at not going around the sadness, which may be why I like it so much, and why I praise it.Honestly, this story and the whole “smile time” really reminded me of a social experiment I heard about years ago called “Rhythm 0.” Effectively, it had one girl standing completely still in a zone with objects for pleasure and pain around her. She “invited people to do to her whatever they wished” with a sign that said: “Instructions: There are 72 objects on the table that one can use on me as desired. Performance. I am the object... During this period I take full responsibility. Duration: 6 hours (8 pm – 2 am).” You can look up more about the experiment yourself, but the general result was people doing minor things and slowly ramping up.Eerily similar to this “smile time” concept: starting slow and ramping up, being an object and an outlet for others, allowing almost anything to go, a person or persons standing absolutely still as it all happens, or with a smile... the works. Now, of course, it’s not 1-to-1, but I somewhat wonder if the roots of this story idea came from it. Just some food for discussion.Anyways screw old Mustang,Glory to Hanson, and this story was a 9/10

Those first two chatpers are the reason why I'm willing to tolerate the shitty story moments, for those great moments that come every once in a while.Some advice I wish I had gotten, make sure to do the event. You can do 5 event stages per day, and you'll see you're able to purchase more runs in the event shop for gems. Wait until hard mode is unlocked in 5 days, then purchase as many stage attempts as possible. Run through, finish hard mode, and just use the rest of your runs on repeats of the second to last stage. The resource payout is massive and it's always worth doing because you really need core dust.Also feel free to play the game's story mode once you start getting stuck on Normal (after using up all your 3 per day uses of the newbie level 200 units of course), story mode doesn't count for a lot of things but it does count for the story missions, which also give a ton of resources. Also it's nice to just be caught up on the story.Oh, and join a union as quickly as possible, you should see unions regularly recruiting here, don't worry about not contributing to raids most unions are willing to host a few new players as long as they're active and the resources are really important.Also if you're willing to reroll accounts then reroll until you get Star Anis, she's absolutely worth it.
Don't forget to ask for playable Yoyo in all the surveys even if they didn't ask for it.

Guys, I consider myself a pretty decent rhythm game player. But I can't get used to the controls. Do you guys have any recommendations on how to play/customize the game for ergo/faster muscle memory? Phone, Tablet, Portrait, landscape, Keyboard, Controller? Portrait Phone kind of cramps my hand. The game feels really small/squished on landscape. I haven't tried tablet yet.
