The world level won't filter you as enemies stay at a low level. You can even ignore gold gear and essence farming and artificing until you feel like it. The filter is the factory so don't neglect it. Spend the time connecting the resource nodes to the power grid. Valley IV is a tutorial zone and things become more difficult in Wuling. If you are a complete shitter or don't want to bother with it there are blueprints but you are cheating yourself if you rely on them imo. Good to use others as a reference point but not let it become a crutch.

RNG artifacts of RNG sets with RNG substats, yadda yadda.In Endfield you have two big things, your Gear and your Essences.For Gear, you craft exactly what you need. There are no random stats, each piece of gear in the game has defined attributes and what you see is what you get. Once you craft a piece of Gear, you then upgrade it through a method called Artificing, where you craft fodder Gear that you can feed to the actually good Gear to raise the level of each stat. The fodder you want to use changes depending on which stat you want to increase (e.g. if you want to increase Strength, you feed it fodder with Strength). The only bit of RNG is that each Artificing attempt has a chance to fail, but it doesn't destroy the Gear you are upgrading, so you just try again. You can target these specific stats everytime you do essence farming to increase the chance of getting them. Except in this case, it doesn't matter what fodder you use, it's all the same. It has a chance to fail, but it doesn't break the essence. Honestly, I kind of like the fact that many characters release in a state where their true best teams are an unsolved/unfinished equation. It adds value to the operators that come after while also retroactively bettering operators that come before. Like how for Yvonne and Last Rite in 1.0, they both had FUNCTIONAL teams, but not necessarily ideal ones. But this was solved by the introduction of TangTang who for example solved Last Rite's problem of being slow and single target focused on top of faster ice stacking.Leek is also in a similar position where the only truly indispensable existing operator on her team at the moment is Perlica. Arclight is good but not great since you completely ignore her battle skill since it consumes Electrification as well, which conflicts with Leek. And the 4th slot is still a completely flex/filler, which could be better filled by another new Electrification applier in the future to better smoothen out Leek's rotation. There's still room to grow.The only losing party really is HG themselves because assuming they stick to these design principles, no one operator in a bubble will truly be game-breaking broken on their lonesome. Meaning there's never as much of a "THIS IS A MUST ROLL OR YOU'RE BRICKED 5EVER" FOMO rush, compared to other similar games. Even Gilberta, who you could argue is pretty crucial for a lot of team set ups is getting a rerun quite soon after her initial launch, compared to the timelines to reruns compared to other games.

Going through the latest patches story right now, I've had a sudden realization. This entire story can be easily salvaged and fixed. All they gotta do is continue the plot filled with interesting antagonists with their own motivations, have Endmin travel the world in pursuit of answers about their past, and get the fuck out with Perlica and Chen. Keep the other companions, have Endmin meet all kinds of new people, BUT ONLY FOR A BRIEF MOMENT. Have them return every now and then if needs be, but drop the fucking looney tooney trio bullshit. Focus on Endmin, dive deeper into their past experiences, feelings, show us the vulnerable side of them that we got to see during Leva's story quest. Just continue with these themes, explore the potential of lore rich regions, chill with the fucking savior of all people through endfield industries and technology. Or have it as side quests and optional shit.
