She doesn't wait around for stuff to happen, she doesn't let herself become "the normal guy" in the cast, she takes action. Unlike the protaognists of the other games, there's genuine friction between her and other characters because of this, avoiding ending up like a Mary Sue like some characters of a similar nature in previous games have been. There's genuine nuance and ambiguity to her too, initially we think she's just a gentle person, but she is willing to murder, if she thinks it's justified for the greater good. She is a great match for the theme of lying and linking it through to the series theme of hope - her optimism is clearly acting, but through it she manages to help Shuichi, who in turn helps her, which ties to the idea of lies creating truths. She is absolutely a character with a lot of depth, and it's clear they could do a lot more of her if she were in the game for longer, it's remarkable how she manages to be more fleshed out and interesting than most characters in the series despite only being in it for a chapter. And she's thicc and hot.

That's not inspiration, that's copying someone's homework and changing a few words. There's a difference between being inspired and stealing. Danganronpa is inspired by Battle Royale. Kumitantei is stealing from Danganronpa. In the eyes of the law, they're not stealing, so I don't know why you're acting like there's some big injustice here, but I think it's totally fair to criticize this game for what it is: a shameless rip off.

V3 explicitly connects to 1-3 and states that they were all fiction, there's nothing in V3's representation of these games that contradicts them to suggest otherwise. It is very clear the only reading of V3 that is actually supported by the text is that Danganronpa 1-3 are all fictional. Kodaka says in the artbook interview that his point was to put players in the same situation as the characters in V3 - they played through the earlier games and they felt real to them, and so them being fictional shouldn't change the emotions they felt. If you try and handwave this away as an alternate timeline you're just invalidating the whole reason the twist happened.
