There were a few rounds where I lost progress and Scylla healed back from 50% to almost 70%, but there was no danger and it was reclaimed.My Ingrid is strong, yeah, but her bringing Burn, Heal Reduction, and Weaken was more core to the actual strategy, because with 3 supports in the party, keeping Scylla from getting her +6%MaxHP healing is more important due to the 10%MaxHP damage taken limit (from the challenge star).

Expert adds buff-strip on Scylla's attacks, but otherwise isn't too much escalation. Getting your 3 supports to +9 Cores and at least 1 Module should make things nice and reliable for getting that 1-time 9-star challenge clear, when the time comes. The best general purpose advice I can give for trying to figure out bosses on your own is to find a super reliable auto party for the previous difficulty and watch once or twice what that auto party does to beat the boss. Then send the same party out to the next difficulty and see where problems show up. Does the party lose someone against the pre-boss trash waves? Do Burns stack too high and get exploded by Disaster of Karma? Is Cursed Tree Avatar dealing too much damage to your party because Power/Red lacks non-Shizuru main healing? Stuff like that to give you direction to see "Can I fix this problem?"When it comes to all 6 of the Extermination Mode bosses, I can't recommend finding units with Immobilize highly enough. Immobilize is a very helpful debuff (while skills are on cooldown after being used, Immobilize prevents their cooldown counter from going down, keeping them stuck to using their S1 longer).And yeah, the various ways the different fights respond to different mechanics is part of the fun for some, and not as much for others. All the different oddities and unique interactions is a big reason the google doc went from a table listing who had what Leader Aura to what it is so far.

Ok, just checked something because it bothered me. I presume that all 2d artwork of characters in Squad, including one for Tokiko live 2d, is either models they have put under very specific filters or just touched up traces of posed models. With live 2d Tokiko I noticed that she has one of quirks of Kagami art, weird ear that looks like upper part of it just goes outside and wraps around to connect to back of the ear. I presumed if her artwork is a trace of model that this detail would be on model, as it is too small to anybody notice or care if they used the model and then had to correct the art after. I check and Tokiko has that weird ear! This is not all, because this is consistant thing for Kagami characters so I checked and all the other characters he designed and we can see ears,Murasaki, Sakura and Hebiko, have this. Only one that I am not 100% sure is Kotaro because his model has his hair block most important part and it always felt alien to me with how he looks, but his ear looks to be wrapping around the same way every other Kagami character does.
