Hey guys, is there a way to force linedoubling on PS1/PS2 games on PS3? Like Sharpscale on Vita.
It's possible when the PS3 plays DVDs so I don't think its impossible.

Should I per-emptively change my New 3DS battery?
I've decided to dust off my New 3DS and checked the battery and it hasn't ballooned yet. It's the original battery so dunno how good these batteries stay good for.

>update atmos (atmosphere-nx github, update fusee too if you boot with it)
>download fw (thzoria github (latest is fine, 18.1.0 or 20.5.0 is preferable))
>update fw using daybreak (incuded in atmos(choose fat32+exfat))
>update sys-patch or sigpatches (gbatemp sys-patch/sigpatches latest update)
>download gaems from nxbrew.net, nswtl.info or google game name + nsp
>install gaems using CyberFoil over MTP (luketanti github)
>install picross

when you make an emunand, you copy the switch's internal 32ish gb onto your sd card, and that's where it runs from. This space can also be used to install games (installers will say nand space, but it's really space on your sd card).
Let's say you have a 64gb card and you make an emunand and have no games yet. An installer will say you have 20something gigs of free nand and 32ish free on your sd card

sounds like sigpatches shenanigans, install them again, or use syspatch, or both
i can say that i have everything on the latest version and everything works fine, though i still haven't updated tomodachi life (i have the leaked version, hell i don't even know if it got updates)

anyone know how to get JKSV to work on 22.1.0? I updated to it thinking it was the required FW for the latest ZA update but I was off by a full version kek and now I can't backup my save to edit it as it crashes.
please don't tell me I have to remake my emunand again just to lower my version
>>
>>565620002
nevermind I read the gbatemp thread. I guess I'll remake my emunand these days if there is no update to libnx soon

Actually now that I have messed with it a bit I think my fucking NAND is dying so that is cool.
>>
>>565621325
I realized if I can't backup anything then I would lose my saves by remaking my emunand. Apparently though DBI works to just copy out the save and then copy it back in, so I'll try that for now and report back.
>>
>>565624260
Downgrading firmwares is possible, though isn't recommended.
>>
>>565624640
I've heard about that, but I won't risk trying it on my switch. I'd rather remake my emu from my 4.X sys and update. I think I'll just wait for libnx though, as I really don't want to risk my saves with DBI
>>
>>565625221
There isn't much risk if you just make a nand backup right now.
>>
>>565624260
you use jksv for save backups, especially for some games that make more than one save (ie animal crossing got both normal and system saves, the former being your character and the latter being the actual island)
idk if dbi takes care of all of that

A switch game I've been looking out for finally got a dump but nxbrew is still down. Anyone know any sites I can look at? It's a NSW-BREWS dump. Do they have a site?

My Switch's battery completely dies in sleep mode after just two days. And I mean literally dead since it won't even boot when I inject the fuse. I'm 100% sure the battery was full when I left it. That shouldn't be possible in just two days of sleep mode. This is the second time it's happened. I recharged it and it's fixed now, but I still have no idea what's causing it in the first place.

Hey anons, I never hacked my switch but I'd like to hear your guys opinion on this tech related matter. Since like January all of my games have kept crashing everytime I've tried to play them. I had tried a solution I found online where I just plug it into the dock to get the console to "just werk" but now it doesn't work and it crashes to black whenever I plug it into the dock. I can usually get like 5-10 minutes into any game which is then followed by the game crashing and console failing and going into a black screen telling me to reset/restart it. Everytime it happens I get random error codes on the black screen so I can't really tell what exactly is wrong with it. Pic related is one of several I've gotten. The weird thing I noticed is that right before my games crash there are these red lights on the screen. Not red dots, more like soft red flashes like the kind you see on film reels and photographs. The console will also crash when leaving it on the home menu for a while which made me think it might have been a heating issue but the temperature doesn't feel any hotter to the touch. What do you guys think it could be? Has anyone here ever experienced something like this before? Any fixes?

You really think its a hardware issue then? What makes you say it's nand failure? Cause damn that would suck if it were the case. I know very little about switch repair. I tried setting up a repair ticket on the nintendo site and it said that it would be like 99 dollars to replace my broke console with a refurbished console. Do you know if nintendo refurbished switch consoles are any good? I remember someone I know buying a refurbished 3DS from gamestop years ago and it was pretty bad. Scratch marks and a bottom screen that felt like it had gotten replaced by a thicker plastic screen that made touch features unresponsive.
>>
>>565670365
Could potentially be rogue homebrew or a broke SD. So the troubleshooting steps are:
1. Delete everything off the SD except Nintendo holder; have a barebones CFW setup (Atmos, Hekate, Sigpatches only).
2. Get a new SD card

If after both it's still broken then the console is fucked.

It's weird people with old firmware systems now have the ultimate homebrew solution in Linux coming with all the emulators and pc games running great, while everyone else has to relay on an undercooked scene trying to make apps for the native os, 4.xx firmware systems are even getting backports

>Switch's battery completely dies in sleep mode after just two days
known issue with certain switches (mostly v1) on firmware 19.0.0+ putting in airplane mode could help. there's a ini setting for atmosphere that others have had success with as well.

How would I get rogue homebrew if I've never hacked my switch? Is there a way for this to happen? I also thought it might have been a broken sd card at first so I tested it by removing it and playing a game without it. Tried playing a physical game off the systems memory and it still crashed. Today I tried playing Nier automata twice and got the same result. This time the game dimmed in brightness before it crashed. Then I tried testing out Disgaea 5 again and it crashed before I could save. I fear its not an SD card issue :<

Sorry, I assumed you posted here as you were attempting a hack. And that error code can sometimes happen with homebrew.

For virgin systems it seems to relate to online. You might have to open it and make sure the wifi board is seated properly, or replace it.
