I got a few grinds to do, but the fact a lot of weapons don't feel all that different and that I don't really have a favourite Descendant just makes playing the game kinda boring. Maybe I need to min/max heavily and that'll magically fix my problem, but running pubs is more fun than solo, and with the amount of HP bloat these bosses get turns it all into a slog. Go into the lab and learn a bit about the Descendants gameplay is fun, but then when you're in a mission, it doesn't convert at all. Choose whatever flavour nuke you want and then spend more time on the boss than running through the mission. It's tedious.

Here's the secret, there's not really builds per se in this game. There's crit archetype descendant which all use the same mods, skill power descendants which use whatever flavor of element they have etc. Maybe you get a supercharged crit roll on your AM and then you can drop nimble fingers for more HP or whatever you feel helps most in the content you're doing. But thats about it

Stuff like this is why the game always feel so samey. Everyone is packaged very similarly in terms of builds and playstyle and the content doesn't ever take into account each descendant.

Make it so players can just buy them so they don't feel like they're being left behind in terms of power or are just too lazy to roll. That of course incentivizes players to spend money and purchase caliber. The whole system is designed purely for monetary gain, not for the benefit of the players.
