He's really a support. Speedy Hedgehog console plus Sakiri's arc means that he can ult and boost Baicang's attack since Skia's ult applies a 1 second control effect. From level 60 he can also tag into Baicang as if you were tagging as part of an element reaction, with Baicang doing his support move and getting a power word. Plus since Fadia scales off of HP, the Stain reaction is one of the only ways to buff her damage so she goes from having the iggest nuke ult in the game to having even more nuke ult on top of that. PLus one of his awakenings makes him resist interruption so he can just facetank while building the tag meter and feed her damage.

What helped them to make the game bigger is using lots, LOTS of stock models for both the city and the NPCs. They probably have a Koikatsu-like character builder for NPCs with stock clothes bought or commissioned externally, though they're kinda lazy with it so most NPCs look bloody identical. Would not be surprised if parts of the city were procedurally generated too, as many of the district layouts look really similar (though there's plenty of unique things too).

I don't think the devs used AI other than maybe the movies. The reason I think so is because some assets are actually repeated way too often and it would've been cheap to make more with AI, yet they didn't. For example, there are a few manga in the game, but there's like what, 5 covers in total? So you go into a shop and there's like 200 manga on display but it's just the same 5 ones repeated 20 times each. Why note just use AI to create 20 covers? You don't have to make an entirely new 3D model, it's just a texture on one side of the manga. Occasionally you will see characters reading a manga. But there's only ONE manga page in the entire game and every time you see a character reading a manga, they are reading that one page. If you catch Taygedo reading, he will even "flip" the page but it flips to the same page over and over. Why not use AI to create a few different pages?If they used AI for 2D assets they weren't really efficient with it.

The awakening/dupe system is great, love being able to just pick your fuckin' bonus instead of needing four or six to get the only good thing a tree might give you.But the character designs are kind of lacking, and some of the story stuff has some really lack lust camera angles, just focusing on a character instead of the scene they're actively taking part in and talking about. There's also the generative AI use. I'm astounded that they just straight up have you watch an AI movie for the bank heist unlock mission. They tried to word their way around it but there's very clear AI use in not just background stuff but character designs. I'm really, really hoping that this was just a cost cutting measure to get the game out, and with revenue coming in they'll be able to have more high quality art assets in the game rather than just using AI to make the stuff. I really don't see a reason for me to spend any money on the game.
