Yeah, today I had a very disappointing discussion with a friend of mine. He told me he's done playing Marvel Rivals, and his reasons were mainly the ones that even I have with this game.The balance, teammates, and throwing. These factors made climbing to Eternity this season absolutely dreadful. I couldn't fathom how unbelievably bad the solo queue experience was this time around, because I think it goes back to the terrible balancing slowly but surely cooking this game to death. Like if you want to win a lot, you have to alternate between banning Gambit, Elsa, Daredevil, Phoenix every single match, and then there are the lower priority bans like Invisible Woman, Black Cat, Punisher, and It just gets to the point where you cant really ban stuff based on your composition so everyone just gravitates towards what works 99% of the time.I'll be honest, most of the characters they have added have made this game worse. There were some post-launch characters like Fantastic, Thing, Blade, and White Fox who are great additions to the game but they feel like they were designed for S0 or belong in an entirely different hero shooter.And then the teammates, the teammates in this game are something else.. I dont think I have ever experienced the level of toxicity in any other game that I have in this and it's not "AAAA he called me a nigger! waaaah" It's "I'm throwing because I have to fill" or "This guy didn't do exactly what I wanted so I'm afking in Spawn" and It's crazy how much shit they let fly in thisbecause if people did even half the stuff they do in this game in like Overwatch then they would have been permanently banned after three or four violations. I wont even lie, I myself have lost a lot of interest playing this game because the game just feels shittier every 2 months, but at this point I think the only reason why a sizable amount of players are sticking around is because its all just sunk cost fallacy.
