ABA probably got hit a little too hard with some strange nerfs to things like her parry and j.H but I do think her players are still being overdramatic about how "bad" she is. JR is still one of the most advantageous states in the game and with a stray hit you're taking them to the corner for half their health and a wallsplat that lets you reset into another keygrab to top you back up and keep you in JR. They're all just mad they can't neutral skip at round start and stay in their install for the entire match.
I realized a while ago that the "gene" exists, but I really feel like there must also be an "anti-gene" that makes people shit no matter how much they try. I started playing Strive around the same time as my friend who has much more fighting game experience than me, but I have surpassed him so extraordinarily that I just can't fathom how he hasn't gotten at least decent. He has almost double my steam hours on the game and watches every possible shitty youtube video on Strive, but he's still a complete shitter who had to fraud his way to vanquisher and now sits at below 1400 DR. When we play, I even take it easy on him and play a character that I hardly know how to play and I still kick his ass. I just don't know what I can say to him at this point
